 HUD Announces Restrained Enforcement Minimize

FRIDAY the 13th - BAD LUCK hidden in a message from HUD?

On Friday the 13th (Dec 2009) HUD announced it will use restrained enforcement for four months at the outset of the changes taking place January 1, 2010 in the GFE and HUD1 (1A) forms. Read the release here.

IMMAAG believes that the mandated changes will not only fail to achieve the stated objectives but will hurt consumers and the industry. We are asking everyone to work with us to continue "tilting at the windmill" . Join us as we communicate with HUD pleading for them not only to delay implementation but to take serious, focused steps to work with the FRB toward the creation of an integrated, simplified disclosure that is sensitive to the consumer's needs as well as to industry practices, operational considerations and work flows.

A copy of our letter to Ms. Ivy Jackson and the position statement and proposed shopping tool will be sent to our registered users and subscribers when we send it to HUD. Click here (must be registered for access) to read the position statement and to see the shopping tool.
